- Heroes 2017
Thanks to your generosity and support, Woodie's have raised over half a million euro for Irish children's charities in the last two years and made a real difference to the lives of hundreds of suffering children and their families. From those who donate, to our colleagues who fundraise, to the charities who provide essential services, to the immensely brave children and their families , you are ALL Woodie's Heroes! Once again we are hoping to support four incredible charities in 2017.
Everyone in Woodie’s, from our stores across the country to our support office in Dublin, will find creative and fun ways to fundraise over four weeks. Our charity partners were chosen by our colleagues. Have a read about the incredible work that they do and how the money we raise will help their cause. During this campaign we will celebrate all Heroes, big glossy ones and everyday ones. We all know a hero. Help us by letting us know who your hero is! Write it on our 'Heroes' wall in every store or post it to our Facebook page!

Go on, be a hero and donate what you can in store and help spread the word through the Woodie’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/woodiesIE.
Every cent raised in stores will go directly to these 4 charities.
Make-A-Wish Ireland grants wishes to children, aged between 3 - 17 years, who are battling life-threatening illnesses. Our Wish Children endure hospital visits and invasive treatments as well as missing out on school and childhood friendships, so they really deserve to be granted their one true wish.
ACT for Meningitis provide a wide range of free support services to families and individuals affected by meningitis nationally, while also raising lifesaving awareness of this disease. Over the last 6 years they have grown substantially to provide services to children and families in 19 counties in Ireland.
The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation provides home respite care to children with severe brain damage from birth to four years old, and also provide end of life home care for all children up to four years. Jack & Jill have cared for 2142 families over the last 20 years taking on new referrals every week..
Our goal is to help save the lives of critically ill children in Ireland. The Temple Street Foundation raises funds to enable Temple Street Children's University Hospital to continue to provide world class care to Ireland's sickest children. We do this by purchasing vital equipment, redeveloping wards, funding life-saving research and delivering vital patient and family services.
