Woodie’s Heroes Fundraising for Childline by ISPCC

Meet Karen, a volunteer with Childline
Note: Due to the confidential nature of Childline, a model is pictured above.
Childline by ISPCC provides free, confidential support to young people 24/7. Karen, a mum and devoted grandmother, from Killiney, Co. Dublin, began volunteering with Childline by ISPCC last year. She now gives her time every week, supporting children when they need it most. Describing her time volunteering, Karen says “It’s so rewarding when a child says, ‘thanks for listening’ - it makes it all worthwhile,”.
Childline by ISPCC helps children cope with difficult situations and build resilience. Volunteers like Karen receive extensive training and make it possible for Childline by ISPCC to fulfil its mission to protect childhood.
With the help of Woodie’s Heroes…
This year, your support for the Woodie’s Heroes campaign is helping Childline provide a vital lifeline of hope and support to children across Ireland who need someone to listen.
Childline offers so much more than just a phone call - they provide emotional support, a safe space, and a confidential listening ear for children facing daily challenges that can feel overwhelming and isolating. Every child’s story is unique, and Childline is there 24/7/356, helping to ease their worries and bring comfort when it matters most. Thanks to your generosity, we’re making a real difference in the lives of children across Ireland.
