1Remove the lid from the top of the cistern of the toilet and set aside in a safe place.
2Unhook the chain from the skinny rod of the handle inside the cistern. If you can’t do this using your fingers, use a needle nose pliers.
3Loosen the screw that clamps the skinny rod to the handle.
4Remove the nut inside the cistern that holds the handle in place. Screw off in a clockwise direction, as this is a reverse threaded nut. Use the adjustable wrench if necessary.
5Remove the old flush handle and throw away.
6nsert the new flush handle and replace the nut on the handle inside the cistern. Remember to turn the nut in a counter-clockwise direction because it is reverse threaded. Tighten the nut using the adjustable wrench.
7Re-attach the chain to the end of the skinny rod on the new handle.
8Tighten the screw that secures the skinny rod to the handle.
9Test the handle to make sure the toilet is flushing properly.
