Choose where you are going to place your towel ring on the wall. Mark your holes with a pencil and cover with masking tape. Re - mark the holes again on the tape. The masking tape will prevent the drill bit from slipping and damaging the tile.
Make sure there are no wires or pipes running behind where you are going to drill by using a multi-purpose detector.
Make sure the drill is not set to hammer action, as this may crack your tile and damage the plasterboard backing. Drill the holes using the tile bit on your drill.
Top Tip: Let the drill do the work. Hold the drill perpendicular to the tile and apply a bit of pressure. Go slow until you break the surface of the tile. Once you are through the surface you can increase the speed of the drill.
Fit the plasterboard fixings into your holes, ideally past the depth of the tile and then screw your bracket into the fixings.
Fix the escutcheon on the bracket and secure by screwing it on using a flat head screwdriver.
Now your bathroom accessory is completely installed.
