This mask reduces discomfort caused by coarse particles. However, it is not a respiratory protective device and should not be used for protection against fine particles, gases, vapours or paint sprays. It should only be used to reduce discomfort caused by exposure to coarse, non-toxic particles. They may also be used to protect the work piece from the exhaled breath of the wearer.
