2019 marks the fifth year of Woodie’s Heroes fundraising for Irish children’s charities. Each year our colleagues nominate their top four children’s charities and the Woodie’s Heroes campaign gets to work to raise as much as we can. We are proud to be supporting Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, Hand in Hand, ISPCC (Childline) and Temple Street Foundation in 2019.

Thanks to the support of our customers, colleagues and supplier partners, we have raised almost €1,200,000 for children in need and funded vital services. This year, we aim to raise another €250,000.

Hand in Hand

Hand In Hand

Our goal at Hand in Hand is to ensure every family in Ireland with a child undergoing cancer treatment receives vital tailored support throughout their journey. We provide a hand to hold through childhood cancer, with specialized practical and emotional support services tailored around each individual family’s needs.

Temple Street Children's Hospital

At Temple Street our mission is to provide every sick child in Ireland with the highest standard of medical care by ensuring they and their families have immediate access to the best facilities, the finest research and the most compassionate and loving support. By supporting Woodie’s Heroes, you can help us ensure our patients have access to the world-class medical care they need.

Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland

At Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, we change the world for children with autism. Our dogs are specially trained to provide safety and companionship, reduce anxiety and suffering, promote independence, and improve coping mechanisms of children with autism who would otherwise live in a very isolated world.

ISPCC (Childline)

Childline is Ireland’s 24-hour national listening service for all children and young people (under the age of 18) in Ireland. It is free to contact, confidential, non-directive and non-judgmental. Children can contact Childline, to talk about any issue which may be on their mind, by calling 1800 66 66 66 (24 hours a day), chatting online at Childline.ie (10am – 4am daily), or texting to 50101 (10am – 4am daily).
